Jay Gartland is a freelance film editor working across feature films, documentaries, trailers, advertising and entertainment marketing.

Originally from Indiana, he began his career at Trailer Park and has since worked with agencies including Imaginary Forces, RPS, Buddha Jones and Deutsch. His credits include work for HBO, Sony Pictures Classics, Peacock, Netflix, The Tennis Channel and Shudder, along with advertising and game-marketing campaigns for Activision, Bethesda, Microsoft, Nintendo, AWS, Google and Meta.

His work has earned multiple Golden Trailer Award wins and nominations, with additional recognition from the Clio, Promax and Game Marketing Awards. His long-form editing was recognized with the 2019 iHorror Award for Best Editing for The Loop.

Outside the edit bay, Jay is a USCF Expert working toward the National Master title in chess. He cuts in Avid and Adobe Premiere, and is available for freelance.
